Crashing to Earth

"Well, since the president isn't here to say it, welcome to earth." I smile.

"Thanks."

"So, you like martial arts?"

"I believe so. I think it was required to learn where I come from...but I can't remember."

I blink in surprise. "You don't remember? Well, I guess that makes sense. You did make an interesting entrance."

I try to remember something else, but I couldn't. "I don't remember anything. Where I come from or how I got here. It's all a blank."

I nod. "Well, it'll probably come back. I wouldn't worry about it. Do you remember everything about your ship?"

I think about it. "Some of it...but I'm sure I can figure it out."

I grin. "See? Nothing to worry about! Now, are you hungry?"

"Oh yes. I'm starving."

I go to the refrigerator. "OK, we've got hamburger, chicken, fish- oh, sorry." I realize she must have no idea what those things are. She is an alien after all.

I looked at him with a puzzled look as he named off things. "Well, since I don't know what any of those are just give me what you like. Can't hurt to try new things."

I grin. "OK! Burgers it is!" I set about making them.

"So what's it like living on Earth? And will I fit in? I'm surprised you don't throw me out because of my appearance."

"Well, besides the ears and tail, you look fine. And I don't treat people like that. I believe that anyone in need deserves help."

Luthien had heard some strange noise so she ran next door, "Nomma" she called while knocking on his door.

That's good to know." I heard someone knock which made me jump.

Oh, boy. It's Luthien! I wave at Raine to hide quickly, and answer the door. "Hey, Luthien! How are you?"

I was confused, but did as Nomma told me to do and hid.

"Hey, I heard something, Is everything okay," She said being nosey and trying to look past him.

I block her view as best I can. "Just fine! Is there anything you need help with?"

"No, Just like I said I heard stange noises!" she tried pushing her way through.

I can't exactly push her back, so I let her through. I really hope Raine is good at hiding!

"So what was that I heard?" she started snoping knowing he was hiding something.

I didn't know who that person was or why Nomma wanted me to hide, but I wasn't going to ask questions. Just then I felt a sneeze coming on. I tried to stop it, but it was no use. "ACHOO!"
