Duel of the gods

I walk into the arena, and stretch.

Nariko glided gracefully in the arena and watched her opponent stretch. She chuckled.

"Ready to lose?" I ask.

Nariko smirked. "That's interesting, I could have sworn I heard you foolishly say that I would lose." She pursed raised her eyebrows, shaking her head slowly. "Stupid boy."

I power up, smirking.

Nariko closed her eyes and clenched her fists. She let herself fall into a state of power. Letting it consume her, Nariko's muscles expanded slightly but not too much. It was hardly visible to the eye.

I sense her power rise far above mine. OK. I can fix that. "Kaioken x20!" I fly at her, and throw a punch.

Nariko felt as if she was watching him in slow motion. She grabbed his wrist easily and twisted it away from her sharply. "You have thrown the first punch and yet, I am bored beyond my mind." she said tonelessly.

Fine. "Kaioken x100!"

Nariko watches from the side and crosses her arms boredly.

I throw a series of punches and kicks.

Nariko dodges them with gifted speed but the last punch he throws, swipes along side her face. She steps back and touches her lip and looks to her finger. A small trace of blood leaked from her lip. She smiled grimly. "It's been a long time since I have seen my own blood. You should be honoured," Nariko said slowly.

The Kaioken ends. Shit. I feel shredded.

"Done, are you?" Nariko asked him tiredly.

I growl, but I can't move.

Nariko pursed her lips and shrugged. She threw a power kick towards him.

The kick connects with my ribs. They don't break. At least, not quite. I don't cry out, despite the pain.

Nariko threw another hard kick into him again. "I expected more from you," she said in between kicks. She drew a small blade and held it tightly in her hand. "Let me know when you are ready to take things seriously, will you?"

Every kick makes my bones creak. I look up. A weapon?! THAT CHEATING BITCH!!!!!! Anger begins to fill my being. I find the strength to stand. In fact, I've found a lot of strength.

Nariko raised her eyebrows surprisingly. "Perhaps I don't need these then," the blade faded from her hand and disappeared. Nariko got into a figting stance.

I attack at full speed, using new tactics. Punch, double-kick, back-hand.

Nariko dodges the several attacks he throws at her and stands back and crosses her arms. "Please, I feel that you are not trying your best." she said impatiently. "Are you holding back because I am a woman?"

I ignore her, and keep attacking, changing my attack pattern constantly.

Nariko dodges the first of the wave of attacks but miscalculates the last couple. She spit blood out and smiled darkly. "It's about time," she said and began powering up.

I don't let up. I feel that my power isn't finished increasing. This transformation is still taking effect. Each blow is faster and stronger than the last.
